NOTES

  • return trail – Did you head back on the same trail you came in on?  A crappy way of asking loop, out-and-back, or one-way trail.
  • complete trail? – Did you complete the trail as it’s outlined in your tracker app?
  • Blue columns are automatically calculated.
  • Ele = Elevation

A WORD ON ELEVATION METRICS (aka Why are there 8 elevation columns??)

Because the start/end of the trail may not be the high/low points, and because of the return trail you used, I had to include 6 base metrics with 2 calculations.

If you did a loop or out-and-back hike, your start & end and incline & decline numbers are the same.  Only when you have to drive back to the start, will all the numbers be different.
